EPSO Holistic Recovery Bath Salt

Regenerating Foot Bath Salt with Betaine 10% · 1000g · Professional

Magnesium therapy and deep hydration — the soak that prepares skin and supports recovery in a single step.

Betaine 10% Magnesium sulfate Pineapple scent Professional 3-ingredient formula
About this product

The EPSO Holistic Recovery Bath Salt is a versatile professional product that works across multiple services and settings — from the opening soak in a Spa Pedicure to the foot spa base during an Enzyme Peel scrub-off step, to a manicure soak bowl addition, to a full body bath at home. It is one of the most flexible products in the Callux range, and one of the easiest retail recommendations to make.

Its formula is intentionally simple: Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salt) for therapeutic muscle recovery, anti-inflammatory support, and skin regeneration; Betaine 10% as a powerful water-binding agent that softens and hydrates the skin throughout the soak; and a fresh pineapple fragrance that transforms even a clinical step into a sensory moment for the client. Three ingredients. Nothing unnecessary.

The Betaine concentration deserves particular attention. At 10%, this is a meaningful amount of one of the most effective natural humectants available — an amino acid that strongly binds water within the skin’s upper layers. During a soak, it works to soften callused and thickened skin from the outside in, making the subsequent filing or peeling steps more effective and more comfortable for the client.

Active 1
Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt)
Supports muscle recovery and reduces the sensation of heavy, tired legs. Has anti-inflammatory properties and assists the body in drawing out toxins through the skin. Well-researched for its therapeutic benefits in foot soaks — a reason Epsom salt soaks have been recommended by health practitioners for generations.
Active 2
Betaine 10%
A naturally derived amino acid and powerful osmolyte that binds water within the skin. At 10%, Betaine actively softens dry and callused skin during the soak, soothes irritation, and hydrates the skin surface — making the feet far more receptive to the treatment steps that follow.
Where this product is used

The EPSO salt works across multiple service contexts. Each use is slightly different in purpose and dosage — knowing all of them makes it easier to recommend confidently and retail effectively.

Spa Pedicure
Opening foot soak
Step 1Foot soak — Callux Salt — 5 min
The sensory opening to the service. Magnesium Sulfate begins to relax and soften the feet, Betaine starts its hydrating work on the skin surface, and the pineapple scent sets the spa atmosphere immediately. Prepares the skin for nail care, scrub, and filing.
Enzyme Peel
Foot spa scrub-off base
Step 3Place feet in foot spa — scrub while rinsing off
Added to the foot spa water used for rinsing and scrubbing off the ENZYCARE ADM. The salt enriches what would otherwise be plain water, adding Magnesium and Betaine to the rinse step and enhancing the overall skin feel as the enzyme peeling is removed.
Manicure
Hand + nail soak
Opening stepAdd to warm water in soak bowl
A small amount added to a manicure soak bowl softens cuticles, relaxes the hands, and enhances the sensory experience of the service. The Betaine hydrates and softens the skin surface while the magnesium supports overall hand comfort.
Home Care
Foot soak or full body bath
Retail useFoot bowl or full bath at home
Clients can use this at home as a therapeutic foot soak between appointments, or add it to a full bath for a whole-body recovery experience. A larger quantity is used for a bath (100–200g). Recommended 2–3 times per week or as needed.
Key ingredients

Formula philosophy
The EPSO salt contains just three ingredients — Magnesium Sulfate, Betaine, and Parfum. There are no fillers, no unnecessary additives, and nothing to dilute the therapeutic action of the two active ingredients. Clients who are mindful of ingredient lists will appreciate and respond to this transparency.

Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt)
The primary therapeutic active in the formula. When dissolved in warm water, magnesium ions are absorbed transdermally, supporting muscle relaxation, reducing inflammation, and assisting in the removal of toxins through the skin. Particularly effective for clients who experience tired, aching, or heavy feet and legs — the magnesium works on the physical discomfort while the Betaine works on the skin surface simultaneously.

Betaine 10%
A naturally occurring amino acid found in sugar beet, Betaine is one of the most effective water-binding agents used in professional skincare. At 10%, it forms a meaningful concentration — actively drawing water into the upper layers of the skin during the soak, softening hardened and callused areas from the outside in, and soothing any irritation or sensitivity. The result is skin that is noticeably more supple and receptive to treatment by the time the soak is complete.

Parfum (Pineapple Fragrance)
A fresh, tropical pineapple scent that transforms the soak step — whether used as an opening spa ritual or a post-Heel Peel neutralisation step — into a sensory experience. The fragrance dissipates during the soak and leaves no strong residue on the skin, making it appropriate for most clients including those with mild fragrance sensitivity.
How to use

Professional use (in service)

1
Fill foot spa, foot bowl, or manicure soak bowl with warm water at 36–38°C.
2
Add 50–100g of salt and stir to dissolve.
3
Soak for 5 minutes (Spa Pedicure opening soak or manicure soak), or use the enriched foot spa water as the scrub-off base during the Enzyme Peel rinse step.
4
Remove and dry thoroughly before proceeding to the next service step.

Home care use

1
Foot soak: Add 50–100g to a warm foot bowl (36–38°C) and soak for 15–20 minutes, 2–3 times per week.
2
Full body bath: Add 100–200g to a warm bath and soak for 15–20 minutes for a whole-body recovery and relaxation experience.
3
Stir well to dissolve before stepping in or soaking.
4
After a foot soak, follow with your preferred Callux moisturiser for best results.
Storage note: Due to the high magnesium sulfate content, this salt may compact and harden in the jar over time — particularly in humid environments. This is completely normal and does not affect the product in any way. Simply use a spoon or scoop to break up and loosen the salt before measuring. Store with the lid firmly closed between uses.
Precautions: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Do not ingest. Do not inhale dust when measuring. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of hypersensitivity reactions, skin conditions, or kidney conditions.
