Callux Product Guide
A complete reference for nail/pedi technicians and students. Understand the mechanism behind every product in the Callux home care and finishing range so you can recommend with confidence — every time.
Why this matters
One of the most common retail challenges in a nail salon is this: a client asks what cream they should use at home, and the tech defaults to whichever product they know best — rather than the one that will actually deliver the best result for that specific client.
The Callux range has seven products in its cream, serum, and ointment category, and they are genuinely different from each other. Not just in scent or format — in the mechanism by which they work. Some draw moisture in. Some seal it in. One breaks down hardened skin at a cellular level. One is the only product in the range safe to use on broken or open skin. Understanding these distinctions transforms the retail conversation from a guess into a genuinely tailored recommendation — and that is what builds client trust and repeat business.

What makes it different
The Nati Serum is the only product in the Callux range built around antimicrobial defence rather than moisture. It is a serum-cream rather than a traditional moisturiser — it absorbs completely with nothing left on the skin. Tea tree, lemongrass, and thyme essential oils combined with piroctone olamine create a daily protective layer against bacteria, fungi, and microorganisms that thrive in warm, shared, moist environments. Lactic acid also provides gentle ongoing exfoliation and moisture retention simultaneously.
The client profile
This is the recommendation for clients who regularly use gyms, swimming pools, or communal showers. Athletes, personal trainers, swimmers, dance or yoga studio regulars. Any client who mentions smelly or sweaty feet, or who has ever had a fungal issue. It is a daily layer of prevention, not a treatment for any existing condition.
What to say
This one is not a traditional foot cream at all — it is a lightweight serum that absorbs completely and creates a daily antimicrobial layer on your skin. Perfect if you are regularly in gym or pool showers.

Podologic Series
What makes it different
Derma Soft 15 delivers 15% urea — a genuinely therapeutic concentration — in an aerosol foam format. Think hair mousse, not foot cream. It dispenses from a can, expands on contact, and absorbs almost instantly with a cooling peppermint sensation. The result: active urea treatment that feels completely weightless. Important application note: less is more. A golf-ball-sized amount covers both feet. Too much becomes sticky.
The client profile
The client who has been told to use a urea cream but refuses because they hate the feel of creams. Clients in warmer climates who find foot creams uncomfortable. Anyone with persistent roughness or thickened skin who has previously rejected heavier products. The foam format removes the barrier to compliance — and compliance is everything with a urea product.
What to say
This one comes in a can like a hair mousse. It has 15% urea so it is genuinely working on your skin, but it absorbs instantly and you cannot feel a thing afterwards. Just use a tiny amount — a little goes a very long way with this one.

Blackberry Series
What makes it different
The Blackberry Balm Mask is the primary hand care recommendation in the Callux range and a strong retail choice for any client who wants a daily product they will genuinely enjoy using. It contains no urea, so the texture is fundamentally different to the smoothing creams — lighter absorption, no residue, and a beautiful forest berry scent. It can be used as a leave-on daily balm or applied more generously as a treatment mask. An excellent in-salon finishing product for spa pedicures.
The client profile
The client who wants a hand cream they will actually use every day. Clients who have found urea creams too heavy. Anyone in a warmer climate. Spa pedicure clients who want a lighter finishing option. The go-to recommendation when a client asks what you just used and wants to take it home — because the scent alone sells it.
What to say
This is actually our favourite hand cream recommendation. It is a balm mask so it sounds heavy, but it absorbs really well and does not leave that greasy feel. The blackberry scent is gorgeous — it is one of those products people genuinely remember to use because it feels like a treat.

Mint Mango Series
What makes it different
This is where understanding urea percentages matters. Below around 10%, urea works as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin. At 25%, urea becomes keratolytic — it actively breaks down the protein bonds in thickened, hardened skin rather than simply moisturising the surface. This is the concentration used in pharmaceutical preparations for hyperkeratosis. It genuinely changes the skin structure with consistent daily use. Despite this, the formula is remarkably light and non-greasy with a cooling mint sensation.
The client profile
Clients whose callus returns quickly between appointments despite regular treatments. Anyone who has used standard foot creams without seeing meaningful improvement. The post-Heel Peel maintenance recommendation — once the salon treatment has removed the build-up, Mint Mango keeps the skin actively softened so it does not rebuild at the same rate.
What to say
Most foot creams just moisturise the surface. This one has 25% urea which actually breaks down the thickened skin rather than just softening it. It does not feel clinical at all — really light with a lovely mango scent and a cooling mint tingle.

Fresh Orange Series
What makes it different
The Fresh Orange Smoothing Cream is the everyday maintenance recommendation — the product that bridges the gap between professional treatments and keeps the skin in good condition between appointments. Urea draws moisture into the skin, Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection, Niacinamide supports barrier repair, and Almond Oil and Marshmallow Extract nourish without heaviness. A classic cream texture that sits on the skin slightly longer than the lighter products in the range.
The client profile
The maintenance client whose skin is in good condition and just needs a reliable daily cream to extend the results of their service. Also available in three sizes: 25ml handbag, 100ml retail, and 500ml professional pump — making it the most versatile retail option in the range and an excellent treatment table staple.
What to say
This is your take-home version of the treatment. It has urea in it which draws moisture into the skin rather than just sitting on top, and Vitamin E for protection. Fresh orange scent and it works for both hands and feet.
What makes it different
This is a critical distinction for techs to understand: the Lavender Cream Ointment works through a completely different mechanism to the urea-based smoothing creams. Rather than drawing moisture into the skin, it seals moisture in through an oil-barrier approach using Jojoba, Olive, Macadamia, and Lanolin. The standout active is Saccharide Isomerate, which binds hydration directly to the skin for up to 72 hours — not surface moisture that evaporates, but hydration locked into the skin itself.
The client profile
Clients with severely dry skin who find that regular creams do not last. Anyone who says their skin feels dry again within hours of moisturising. The step-up recommendation when Fresh Orange is not intensive enough. Best used at night. Safe for diabetic and pregnant clients, making it a reliable recommendation when other options are restricted.
What to say
This one works differently to a regular cream — it seals moisture into your skin rather than drawing it in. It has an ingredient called Saccharide Isomerate that bonds hydration to your skin for up to 72 hours. Gorgeous used at night.

Smooth and Silky Feet
What makes it different
The SOS Ointment occupies a unique position in the range: it is the only Callux product safe to apply directly to broken or open skin. Its anhydrous formula — entirely oil and butter based with no water — means there are no ingredients that will sting or aggravate compromised skin. Shea, Tamanu, Mango, and Coconut butters create a deep protective barrier while lemongrass, tea tree, and thyme essential oils provide soothing antimicrobial support. At 92% natural origin, it is also the cleanest formula in the range.
The client profile
Any client with splits, raw heels, or open cracks. The strongest overnight repair recommendation after a Heel Peel series. Safe for diabetic and pregnant clients. Also the right recommendation for clients who simply want the most intensive barrier product available, even where the skin is intact. Best applied before bed with socks.
What to say
This is our rescue product. It is all butters and plant oils — no water — so it forms a really protective seal and lets your skin repair underneath. Best at night before bed with socks on. You will notice the difference really quickly.
